We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on R&D Specialist to support product development and continuous improvement initiatives within our manufacturing environment. In this role, you will assist in developing new products, optimizing formulations, and ensuring compliance with quality and food safety standards. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct product testing to evaluate quality, performance, and process efficiency
- Support new product development and formulation improvements
- Assist in maintaining compliance with SQF, HACCP, and food safety programs
- Maintain and update product specifications and technical documentation
- Develop and update Bill of Materials (BOMs)
- Ensure product labeling meets regulatory requirements
- Participate in shelf-life studies and product stability evaluations
- Prepare, coordinate, and track product samples
- Support customer and internal inquiries related to product specifications
- Assist in training staff on new formulations and processes
- Participate in sensory evaluations and product testing
- Identify and help resolve product and process issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field required
- 3–6 years of experience in food manufacturing or R&D preferred
- HACCP certification or knowledge required
- Familiarity with SQF systems preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
