Responsibilities
GlobalFortune500packagingmanufacturerhasanimmediateopeningforaSeamerServiceTechnicianintheNorthAmericanDivision.ThisindividualisakeymemberoftheTechnicalServicesTeamwhosupportsvariouscustomer-fillingoperations.Positionaccountabilitiesincludethefollowing:
ActasthekeyinterfacebetweentheCompanyandthecustomerintrouble-shootingproblemsassociatedwiththeCompany'sfinalproductandthecustomer'sfillingprocesses.
Supportthecustomerinareassuchasequipmentaudits,reworkofthefinalfilledproducts,overhaulsandequipmentconversion.
InteractwithothermembersoftheCompany'sSalesTeamtodevelopstrategies,resolveproblemsandimplementsolutionstosupportthecustomer.
Providedouble-seamingtrainingforcustomers.
Requirementsforthispositionwouldincludethefollowing:
Highschooldiplomaorequivalentrequired.Associatedegreesortechnicalschoolcertificateinamechanicalrelateddisciplineaplus
WorkingknowledgeofCanSeamers(specificallyAngelus,PneumaticScaleandContinental)
WorkingknowledgeofFillersEquipment(H&K,Cemco,etc.).
Provenmechanicalskillsincludingtheabilitytousegauges,dialcalipers,micrometersandotherrelatedinstruments.
StrongPCskillsincludingaworkingknowledgeofMicrosoftOffice(Word,Excel,Access,OutlookandPowerPoint)
Effectivecommunicationskills,bothverbalandwrittenaswellasprovenpresentationskills.
Abilitytoclearlyandeffectivelyinteractwithcustomersonavarietyoflevels.
Abilitytoidentifyafinalpackagedproductthatisnotworkingordefective,troubleshootthepotentialcauses,andincorporateasolutionforeffectivelyresolvingtheproblem.
Abilitytoworkovertimeduringtheweekandweek-endsbasedoncustomerneeds.
Abilitytotravel(carand/orplane)upto70%ofthetime.ThiswillincludesomeinternationaltraveltoCanada
