Our client, a leading Distribution Company is looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist.
Summary
As a Human Resources Generalist, you will play a key role in supporting daily HR operations and ensuring a seamless employee experience throughout the entire employee life cycle from hiring and onboarding to training, talent management, and offboarding. This role is dedicated to understanding employee needs and delivering effective HR solutions. Additionally, you will provide technical expertise in HR systems, reporting, and compliance with employment laws.
How You?ll Make an Impact
- Build strong relationships with employees and department leaders to understand HR support needs.
- Assist the Sr. HR Manager in administering key HR programs, including employee relations, retention, payroll, safety, training, performance management, compensation, and benefits.
- Lead talent acquisition efforts, including role assessment, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, reference/background checks, job offers, orientation, and HRIS transactions.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to assess staffing needs and coordinate interviews.
- Conduct onboarding, exit interviews, investigations, and employee engagement activities.
- Ensure consistent application and interpretation of company policies.
- Maintain accurate HR records for applicant tracking, new hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and compliance reporting.
- Administer employee benefits programs (health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k)), working closely with carriers and vendors to ensure proper enrollment and deductions.
- Support the performance review process to ensure compliance, effectiveness, and fairness.
- Oversee leave administration, including vacation, sick leave, and employee assistance programs.
- Assist with FMLA and disability claim compliance.
- Maintain HRIS database and generate reports as needed.
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of employee records and documentation.
- Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.
What You?ll Bring
- Education: Bachelor?s degree in Human Resources preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years in HR, with experience in recruiting and manufacturing/distribution environments.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Attention to detail and excellent administrative skills.
- Customer service mindset with the ability to build strong working relationships.
