Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Driver to join our distribution team. This role is responsible for efficiently handling materials, supporting inbound and outbound operations, and ensuring accurate product movement within a nutraceutical distribution environment. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and is committed to maintaining safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to load, unload, stage, and transport materials.
- Receive and verify inbound shipments for accuracy and condition.
- Stage outbound orders according to pick sheets and shipping schedules.
- Perform internal product transfers between warehouses.
- Follow FIFO/FEFO inventory rotation procedures.
- Scan materials using RF scanners or warehouse systems.
- Record load times, discrepancies, and delays.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report issues.
- Support cycle counts, audits, and inventory checks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- At least 1 year of forklift or warehouse experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in nutraceutical, food, beverage, or pharmaceutical distribution.
- Familiarity with RF scanners or WMS systems.
- Knowledge of lot tracking and expiration date handling.
Work Environment:
Warehouse setting with moderate noise levels and varying temperatures. May require overtime or weekend work during peak operational periods.
