Job Summary

Position Summary:

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of accounting and financial tasks to support the organization’s financial operations. This role ensures accuracy and integrity of financial data, assists with routine and complex accounting functions, and supports month-end and year-end closing processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and confident working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and expense reports.

• Work with Customers to collect A/R on delinquent accounts.

• Work with vendors to ensure we are paying invoices timely and not disrupting the flow of goods into inventory.

• Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records following company policies and GAAP standards.

• Prepare and review invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Support payroll processing and ensure proper documentation.

• Generate financial reports and assist in preparing management summaries.

• Assist with audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation.

• Identify variances, investigate discrepancies, and propose corrective actions.

• Support the finance team with ad hoc analysis and special projects.

• Additional duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Manufacturing.

• Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP Business One

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 2–4 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred.

• Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles.

• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar).

• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).

• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain confidentiality.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Working Environment:

• Full-time position; typical schedule Monday–Friday.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer or desk.

• Ability to lift and carry items up to 10–20 pounds, such as office supplies or files.

• Adequate vision and dexterity to operate a computer, keyboard, phone, and other office equipment
